connectoid

A connectoid is a dial-up connection profile using the Microsoft Windows 95 or the Windows 98 operating system . The connection profiles allow a user to dial out (or really have the computer dial out) to a number of different Internet connection points such as Compuserve or a local Internet service provider ( ISP ).

Any user that connects to an Internet provider can decrease logon time by specifying only those services and protocol that are necessary in the Server Type settings for your connectoid.
